After absorbing the history of the Cultural Triangle and taking a thrilling wildlife safari in Minneriya, you’ll conclude your journey with a modern city tour of Colombo.
Itinerary
Arrive at the airport and transfer directly to Anuradhapura. After resting, spend the afternoon exploring the massive stupas, ruins, and sacred sites of this ancient city. Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress and visit the beautifully painted Dambulla Cave Temple. Continue to Polonnaruwa to explore its historic ruins. End the day with a wildlife jeep safari at Minneriya National Park. Transfer to Kandy for the night.
Visit Kandy’s Temple of the Tooth Relic in the morning. Travel to Colombo, stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way. Spend the late afternoon taking a city tour of Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.
Visit Colombo’s cultural sites, including the National Museum and Gangaramaya Temple. Enjoy lunch in Negombo before your transfer to the airport for departure.
